Having acquired a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from SUNY New Paltz, Jasmin has experience with matters of lobbying, grassroots movements, parliamentary procedure, and has general administrative knowledge. She joined The Alliance in hopes that her various skills and deep passion for the Veteran community will help us complete our mission.
Jasmin Vazquez (far left) has no military background herself, but decided to get involved with HVVA because of those close to her. Her life partner is a Marine veteran who served honorably in Iraq. Both of her younger siblings are currently in active duty as aviation ordinance; her brother with the Marines and her sister with the Navy. Her paternal grandfather served in the 65th Infantry Regiment with the Army during the Korean War(known as the "Borinqueneers") and her maternal uncle served bravely in Vietnam as an infantry Marine.
Zack Kirchner is from Poughkeepsie, NY. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 2008-2012 and was stationed with the 1st Marine Division in Southern California with 1st Air and Naval gunfire liaison company. He has since recieved a A.S in Computer Science and currently he is working on his B.S in Computer science and information security.
In addition to being our Treasurer, Zack is taking lead in the publication of our quarterly newsletter, "UP-RANGE", assists with maintenance of the website, and is also one of the founders of the SUNY Dutchess Veterans Club and resource lounge. He currently occupies a position on the Veterans Advisory Committee with NYS Representative (18th Dist.) Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney.

Today Ryan is currently finishing his A.A.in Political Science at SUNY Dutchess, where he sits as Vice President of the Veterans Club, and is one of the founders of the Veterans Resource Room on the DCC campus. He also occupies positions on three Veteran advisory committees to the following governing bodies: Dutchess County Legislature, NYS Senate (41st Dist.) Sue Serino, and NYS Representative (18th Dist.) Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney.Ryan is also a Peer Mentor through the PFC. Dwyer Foundation, a non-profit peer mentorship program.
Carlos Prince was born in Panama and currently resides in Hopewell Junction, NY. He honorably served 31 years in the United States Air Force, attached to the 514th Civil Engineer Squadron.
Today Carlos runs his own HVAC business called Pana Breeze, is working on his A.A. in Political Science, and sits on NYS Senator (41st Dist.) Sue Serino's Veteran Advisory Committee. Carlos joined The Alliance because of his drive to help see Veterans succeed in their civilian lives. Carlos founded the DCC Veterans Club, and sat as president of the club until last semester.
Since then Keith stayed active in politics and community service. He currently occupies positions on two Veterans advisory committees to the following governing bodies: Chairman of NYS Senate (41st Dist.) Sue Serino's Veteran Advisory Committee and the Dutchess County Legislature's Veteran Affairs Advisory Committee.
Keith O' Hanlon, a founder of The Alliance, was born and raised in upstate NY. He started his pre enlistment on the delayed entry program when he graduated high school in 1978. From there, he would serve seven honorable years as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp on active duty from 1978 to 1985, as a KC-130 and CH-53 crewman, and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. He pursued a career as a heavy diesel truck mechanic until a severe back injury retired him in 2006.
Ryan O'Sullivan, a founder of The Alliance, was born in New York City and currently resides in Poughkeepsie, NY. He served nine honorable years as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, on active duty from June 2001-February 2010. He was stationed with the 1st Marine Division as a field artilleryman and Light Armored Reconnaissance, would serve three tours of duty in Iraq, and a deployment with the 31st Marine Expeditionary unit in Okinawa, Japan.

Hudson Valley Veterans Alliance
Today, Anthony's desire and passion as a Veteran advocate has landed him work with Hudson River Housing as their Outreach Coordinator for SSVF (Supportive Services for Veteran Families), as well as a founding member of the SUNY Dutchess Veterans Club. He was instrumental in establishing a Veterans Resource Center at SUNY Dutchess, and is also a Vet2Vet peer mentor through the PFC Dwyer Program. Anthony has completed two A.A degrees of study in Criminal Justice and Human Services. He is currently working on his B.A in Social Services for returning Veterans. Anthony also sits on NYS Senate (41st dist.) Sue Serino's Veterans Advisory Committee, and NYS Representative (18th dist.) Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney.
Anthony Kavouras was born in the Bronx, NY and currently resides in Lagrange, NY. He honorably served 34+ years in the United States Air Force, from April 1980-July 2014, and spent most of those years with the 105th Security Forces squadron. During this 34 years he served assignments both overseas and stateside, including a deployment to Afghanistan with the 755th Expeditionary Security Forces, "Reaper 7".
